Tracey began his dog training journey at just 8 years old when he took his farm collie to a basic obedience class, sparking a lifelong passion for training. With over 50 years of experience, Tracey has worked with dogs of all breeds, with a strong focus on private, one on one training and behavioral correction. Known for his expertise with bird hunting breeds, he brings a deep understanding of canine behavior into every session. Tracey’s training philosophy is rooted in thinking like a dog and tailoring each program to the individual dog and owner, helping families build confident, well mannered companions they are proud to take anywhere.

Private Dog Training Requirements

Before starting private puppy training lessons, your pup must meet certain health requirements to ensure the safety of all participants. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations, including:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper (DHPP)
  • Bordetella

To set your dog up for success during lessons, be sure to bring additional items from home, such as:

  • Your pet’s favorite treats or toys (if your pup isn’t food motivated)
  • 6-8 ft flat leash
  • Closed-toe shoes
